As i understand, Allah swt is telling us (his slaves) a story of which we could derive lessons. If we do good, then it is for our benefit. If we do evil, then the same humilation and punishment will be met. So if the yahood have been experience this events in the past or in the future, it is all the same, Allah swt will punish them again. But for us muslims today, we should learn also to respect and unite as one ummah. Not on sectarian differences, but as believers in Allah swt and followers of our prophet pbuh.

Then, if you quarrel about something, revert it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is good, and the best at the end. Qur’an 2:113 The Jews say: “The Christians have nothing to stand on” and the Christians say “The Jews have nothing to stand on” while they both read the Book! Similarly, those who do not know have said like they (the Jews and the Christians) say. So, Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection in what they used to dispute. Qur’an 2:120 The Jews will never be pleased with you, nor will the Christians, unless you follow their faith. Say: “Guidance of Allah is, indeed, the guidance.” Were you to follow their desires despite the knowledge that has come to you, there shall be no friend for you against Allah, nor a helper. Qur’an (3:19) The true religion with Allah is Islam.16 The People of the Book adopted many different ways rather than follow the true way of Islam even after the knowledge of truth had reached them, and this merely to commit excesses against one another.17 Let him who refuses to follow the ordinances and directives of Allah know that Allah is swift in His reckoning. Notes 16. In the sight of God there is only one system of life and way of conduct which is both in accord with reality and morally right. This consists of man's acknowledging God as his Lord and the sole object of his worship and devotion; of surrendering himself unreservedly to God in obedience and service. In doing so he should follow in toto the guidance communicated by God through His Messengers rather than try to devise ways of serving God according to his own lights. This mode of thought and action is known as Islam, and it is only reasonable that the Lord and Creator of the universe should accept nothing less from His creatures and servants. In his folly man thinks that he has the right to believe in and follow every doctrine that comes his way whether it be atheism or idolatry. In the sight of the Sovereign of the universe, however, all such attitudes amount to nothing short of rebellion against God. 17. This shows that the religion of every Messenger of God, in every age and clime, was none other than Islam (submission to God). Likewise, every Divine book, in whichever language it was revealed, and to whichever people it was addressed, contained the teachings of Islam. The various religions which have spread among mankind are distortions of this true, original religion, and are the result of tampering. Coveting privileges over and above those to which they were entitled, people altered the beliefs, principles and injunctions of the true religion in a manner conducive to their own interests. Qur’an 19:98 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Do you see any one of them or hear a sound of them? Note: The Quran, the holy book of Islam, specifies that both men and women are spiritually equal. The Quran states: “But those who do good-whether male or female-and have faith will enter Paradise and will never be wronged even as much as the speck on a date stone” (Quran 4:124). As such, women and men have the same religious and moral duties and responsibilities. They both face the consequences of any wrongdoings. “So their Lord responded to them: “I will never deny any of you-male or female-the reward of your deeds. Both are equal in reward….” (Quran 3:195). In fact, nowhere does the Quran state that one gender is better than the other. Some mistakenly translate “qiwamah” or responsibility for the family as superiority. However, the Quran makes it clear that the sole basis for superiority of any person over another is piety and righteousness, and not anything else: “O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may get to know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware” (Quran 49:13). Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.Qur’an 16:97 “Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his own self; and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his own loss.”Qur’an 39:41 Surely, Muslim men and Muslim women, believing men and believing women, devout men and devout women, truthful men and truthful women, patient men and patient women, humble men and humble women, and the men who give Sadaqah (charity) and the women who give Sadaqah, and the men who fast and the women who fast, and the men who guard their private parts (against evil acts) and the women who guard (theirs), and the men who remember Allah much and the women who remember (Him) - for them, Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward. I disagree, the prophet SAW told us to be wary the company we keep because it effects us.He taught us to flee from dajal and not challenge him. We are not supposed to be in environments where haram takes place and avoid bad gatherings. The examples of the migration to Abasynia (out of necessity, the prophet advised it and the muslims stayed apart and in a group). The sahaba went to India and China as warriors and on a mission to spread the religion, in other cases maybe as traders.They at all times kept themselves at a distance from the negative environment. We are suppose to keep a healthy distance from bad environments,why are we told to avoid where music and alcohol is served? Ibrahim AS kept him self away from the shirk party and in any case he was a nation on to himself and had direct access to Allah as a friend. He was an exception. We are not supposed to test God by keeping ourselves in bad environments deliberately. I hope you respond to this.
